What is DonoH?
DonoH is a digital non-profit organization that is committed to connecting patients in need with generous donors who are willing to help. The organization's mission is to build an online community of hope, loyalty, compassion, and accountability, where individuals can easily access medical aid.
The DonoH web app allows both patients and donors to sign up and access their respective dashboards. On the patient's dashboard, they fill out a form and provide reasons and evidence for why they need help. The donor's dashboard allows them to make donations by clicking on the donate button, which prompts them to donate any amount of money they choose.
Features of DonoH webapp.
One of the most important aspects of DonoH is its focus on transparency and accountability. Donors are able to see exactly where their money is going and how it is being used, ensuring that their donations are being put to good use. Additionally, the platform also allows organizations to easily track and report on their donations, making it easy for them to demonstrate the impact of their work.

The platform allows users to create and manage fundraising campaigns, and also offers a variety of options for accepting donations, including the ability to accept any amount of donations.

This helps to build a sense of community among donors, who feel that they are part of something bigger than themselves.
My contribution to DonoH webapp project
As a frontend developer for the DonoH project, my contribution was to oversee the work of other frontend team members and merge their codes on GitHub. I also corrected unstructured codes, wrote bug report and developer documentation, and contributed to the building of the about page of the landing page and the dashboard. However, due to a faulty laptop, I was unable to complete the task but still used phone to research and document progress. Ah! I forgot to add that I had to learn how to authenticate using firebase because our backend developer didn't turn up. While trying to authenticate, I encountered bugs and error and I reached out to my facilitator for help.
Experience and lesson
One of the most important things I learnt while working on the DonoH project was the importance of patience when working with other people. I also learnt not to depend on a teammate to do something as they may not be able to do their task for unknown reasons, and one must be willing to take up the task and do it as a team member. As a frontend developer, I discovered that I should focus on making the application functional before doing anything else. Because of the fact that this prevented my team from exhibiting our incredible product.
